Review for Twilight - Must Go! - Much Better Than I Thought
Publish Date: November 19, 2008
Just went to see the Pre-Screening of Twilight last night and I loved it! There are a couple of things that are out of order but I don’t think there was any way to condense the book without doing things the way that they did. For the most part the movie was true to the book but I would have liked to see the love between Bella and Edward more. It was a little bit quick, I wish the movie was longer so that they could go into more detail but I still really liked the movie -^o^- It’s definitely a MUST SEE!! Even if you haven’t read the book you will love it. Trust me =)
Review for Quantum of Solace - Go - Quantum of Solace
Publish Date: November 19, 2008
I enoyed the movie. The majority of the hour and forty-five minute movie was consumed by high energy car and boat chases, and there was little story line to follow. The bit that was there was shared and slightly overshadowed by the new and short lived Bond girl. It seemed to be as much about her getting her revenge as him.
Review for Slumdog Millionaire - Must Go! - Slumdog Millionaire
Publish Date: November 19, 2008
Excellent film. The story is refreshing and very original - a love story, a story about triumph over all odds. But the scenery and cinematography is even more impressive, offering a true kaleidoscope of colour glimpse of India. The film is still very Danny Boyle. There’s even a classic throwback to Trainspotting that fans will recognize immediately.
96% WALL-E
Publish Date: November 21, 2008
Charming, audacious, and timely, Wall-E’s lighthearted magic and stellar visuals testify once again to Pixar’s ingenuity.
94% The Dark Knight
Publish Date: November 21, 2008
Dark, complex and unforgettable, The Dark Knight succeeds not just as an entertaining comic book film, but as a richly thrilling crime saga.
86% Bolt
Publish Date: November 21, 2008
Bolt is a pleasant animated comedy that overcomes the story’s familiarity with strong visuals and likable characters.
84% Ghost Town
Publish Date: November 21, 2008
Ricky Gervais’ consistently sharp performance and beautifully dry execution transform this otherwise mainstream comedy into an endearing, funny, and altogether snappy romantic comedy. With ghosts.
83% Tropic Thunder
Publish Date: November 21, 2008
With biting satire, plenty of subversive humor, and an unforgettable turn by Robert Downey, Jr., Tropic Thunder is a triumphant late Summer comedy.
