Isaiah Washington Fired From ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

After weeks of speculation about Dr. Preston Burke’s future on Grey’s Anatomy, Isaiah Washington was finally fired from the show. This despite his many efforts to seriously apologize, even appearing in a PSA for gay group GLAAD.
Grey’s producer Shonda Rhimes called Washington late last week to inform the actor that the powers that be at ABC has decided to ‘let him go’. In a matter of days, his reaction came from “mad as hell” to “saddened”.
“I can only apologize so many times. I can only accept so much responsibility,” he told EW.com in an interview published Wednesday. “… Isaiah will go on and do what I love to do. And I have to go about the business of letting people know what’s written about me is not the truth.”
“We did everything that was asked of us” by ABC, said his publicist, Howard Bragman.
But Hollywood gay community may have felt Washington’s mischief cuts real deep and he has to become an example.
Now maybe he and Paris Hilton can be pals.
