John Mayer apologizes for Playboy interview comments

John Mayer, guitar genius but incredibly loose-mouthed, apologized recently for the interview he gave to Playboy for the March edition of the world popular men’s mag. GMANews.tv says this:
NEW YORK – John Mayer is apologizing for his mouth. The Grammy-winner took to his Twitter page to make amends for his latest inflammatory comments — this time, in the March edition of Playboy.
In it, he calls former girlfriend Jessica Simpson “sexual napalm” and says Jennifer Aniston is a technophobe who wishes she could go back to her career prime in 1998. He also uses the N-word.
On Twitter Wednesday afternoon, he apologized for the racial epithet and said he has to stop “trying to be so raw in interviews.”
“It started as an attempt to not let the waves of criticism get to me, but it’s gotten out of hand and I’ve created somewhat of a monster,” Mayer tweeted. “I wanted to be a blues guitar player. And a singer. And a songwriter. Not a shock jock. I don’t have the stomach for it.”

John Mayer - Guitarist/Songwriter, a little loose-mouthed
In this particular interview, he made racial comments when asked about how “loved” he was by the US African-American community. In these comments he used the word “nigger”, which belatedly he apologized for using it — claiming that he had hoped to intellectualize the term. He said he realized how emotionally charged the word was, and promised to never use it again.
He also said some very controversial comments about his past girlfriend Jennifer Aniston — implying he was just too young — and too modern — for her in the end. Not only that, he remembers another former girlfriend Jessica Simpson and talked about her sexual ability, and said: “That girl, for me, is a drug … That girl is like crack cocaine to me.”
Oh well, folks. He apologized and said he was sorry. Life goes on.We recently caught John Mayer’s DVD called “Where the light is”, his concert in California. (We watched it in our handy external DVD drive). The man is a genius, show was great — so great that we’re getting a Blu-ray disc version of said DVD. Obnoxious, maybe, and has a LOT of belief in himself. But a guitar genius nonetheless.

Pop diva Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman is expecting their first child. After weeks of speculation, Aguilera finally broke her silence and announced that she’s indeed preggers!
Aguilera and her music-marketing exec other half swapped vows in November 2005 in Napa Valley, California. The duo celebrated their first anniversary in Dublin in the midst of Aguilera’s Back to Basics tour in support of her platinum-selling double-disc album of the same name.
The singer has also been tapped to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year along with fellow musicians George Harrison, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Brooks & Dunn and Ricky Martin.

The Spice Girls Re-Unite and Will Go on Tour

The fashion-challenged, not to mention lack of substancial talent, girl power group is back! The Spice Girls announced that they are reuniting and had agreed to get together for 11 concerts around the world in December and January.
The shows will be their first concerts since breaking up in 2001, and the first with all five of the original group since Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell quit to pursue a solo career in 1998.
Now Halliwell re-embraces the spotlight with her ‘girls’ Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham, Melanie “Sporty Spice” Chisholm, Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton and Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown.
The Spice Girls’ first single, “Wannabe,” was released in 1996 and topped charts in 31 countries. They went on to sell more than 55 million records. But their last album, “Forever,” released in 2000 and without Halliwell, fared poorly.
You could now call them the Spice Mums. Beckham said the tour would be designed to accommodate the band members’ seven children. And Bunton is now pregnant with her first child.
EMI said it plans to release the first Spice Girls greatest-hits album in November. The group also plans to make their first official documentary for TV broadcast.

Britney Spears: ‘I Hit Rock Bottom.’

Pop diva on a comeback trail, Britney Spears, wrote a long letter to her fans via her website in an attempt to explain herself and saying she “hit rock bottom” while caught up in her failed marriage and rehab.
“Recently, I was sent to a very humbling place called rehab. I truly hit rock bottom. Till this day I don’t think that it was alcohol or depression,” the 25-year-old pop star writes. “I was like a bad kid running around with ADD (attention deficit disorder).”
Spears completed a monthlong stay at a luxury Malibu rehabilitation treatment facility in March after a series of run-ins with the paparazzi that included a stop at a San Fernando Valley hair salon, where she was caught on video shearing her own locks. Other photos splashed across the Internet appeared to reveal Spears out partying wearing nothing underneath her short skirts and partying every night with equally troubled pals Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.
She also cited the spat with her ex-longtime manager who she claims was trying to direct her life.
“I think the whole problem was letting too many people into my life,” she continues. “You never know another person’s intentions or what another person wants. … I have had to cut so many people out of my life.”
Well, does that include her mother?

Britney Spears’ Comeback Performance?

Britney Spears took the stage late Tuesday at the House of Blues, making what is believed to be her first public concert appearance in nearly three years.
Starting the five-song set with her debut single “Baby One More Time,” Spears was back in top form. The one-time teen pop queen appeared onstage in boots, a sparkly pink bra top and a short white skirt with her belly ring out.
The drama of the past few months appeared to be behind her. Her only words came as she was leaving. “Thanks everyone for coming,” she told the packed club, where people paid upward of $125 a ticket.
Tuesday’s appearance in which Spears wore a long brown wig was shrouded in mystery. The club marquee made no mention of Spears, announcing only the performance of “The M&Ms.” Word, however, quickly spread on the Internet and fans posted well wishes for her comeback performance.
