Hasselhoff’s Visitation Rights To Kids Suspended
Filed Under Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
A Los Angeles judge on Monday suspended former “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff’s visitation rights with his two teenage daughters pending further review of a videotape believed made by one of the girls showing the actor drunk.
The order by Superior Court Judge Mark Juhas will be in effect until at least May 21 when another hearing on the matter is scheduled.
Hasselhoff, who was not in court for Monday’s hearing, admitted last week that he had struggled to overcome alcoholism after the videotape emerged showing him drunk.
The videotape, believed to have been taken by his 16-year-old daughter Taylor Ann three months ago, was aired online and on several TV channels. It showed Hasselhoff dressed in blue jeans and no shirt lying on the floor struggling to eat a hamburger.
In a statement, Hasselhoff acknowledged he was a recovering alcoholic and had a relapse.
Hasselhoff filed for divorce from Bach in January last year, citing irreconcilable differences.

Los Angeles DA Wants Paris Hilton in Jail
Filed Under Celebrity Blunders | 2 Comments
The Los Angeles city attorney’s office has filed documents in Superior Court recommending the hotel heiress, Paris Hilton, be jailed for 45 days for violating terms of her probation for an alcohol-related reckless driving conviction.
Prosecutors also want Hilton to stay away from alcohol for 90 days and wear a monitoring device that will chart whether she complies. And they are seeking to have her license suspended for an additional four months.
The recommendation will be reviewed by a judge when Hilton appears for a probation violation hearing on Friday. The judge can accept it or impose a different penalty. The maximum penalty is 90 days in jail.
City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo said Hilton is being treated the same as anyone else. “Anyone who would have conducted themselves in a way that resulted in this set of facts, we would have made the same recommendation of 45 days in county jail, regardless of whether they were a celebrity or not,” he said.
Hilton, pleaded no contest in January to reckless driving stemming from a Sept. 7 arrest in Hollywood. Police said she appeared intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test. She had a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent, the level at which an adult driver is in violation of the law.
Hilton said she had only a single margarita at a charity event that evening but may have been “speeding a little bit” while on her way to get a hamburger.
On Jan. 15 she was pulled over by California Highway Patrol. Officers informed Hilton she was driving on a suspended license and she signed a document acknowledging she was not to drive, according to court papers.
She then was stopped by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies on Feb. 27 and charged with violating her probation. Police said she was pulled over at about 11 p.m. after authorities saw the car speeding with its headlights off.
Hilton’s spokesman, Elliot Mintz, said at the time she wasn’t aware her license was suspended. A call Thursday to Mintz was not immediately returned.

Isaiah Washington Works for Gay Group GLAAD
Filed Under Uncategorized | 1 Comment
Grey’s Anatomy star, Isaiah Washington, is serious about making amends to the gay community after thrusting himself into controversy after publicly uttering gay slurs. He was reportedly recruited by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) to appear in their public service announcements.
It will be remembered that Washington told a room full of reporters at the Golden Globe awards that he did not call actor T.R. Knight a “f—-t,” referring back to an incident on the ‘Anatomy’ set last fall.
After the comment, several members of the cast, including Katherine Heigl , voiced displeasure at Washington. Knight, who came out publicly as a gay man last year, went onto Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show to say that Washington had indeed used the slur against him.
After the incident, Washington met with members of GLAAD to discuss his statements. “Isaiah understands he is going to be judged by more than just his apology,” GLAAD president Neil Giuliano said after the meeting. “He knows his future actions – including the genuine first step today’s meeting represents – will demonstrate his sincerity in becoming part of the solution to antigay bigotry. We welcome the opportunity to work with him in the coming months to help improve the cultural climate faced by LGBT people across this country.”
The actor also entered a rehabilitation program for a psychological evaluation in late January.

In South Korea and Hong Kong, the picture set new marks for the biggest opening day, taking in 3.2 billion won ($3.4 million) and $HK7.5 million ($960,000), respectively.

Britney Spears’ Comeback Performance?
Filed Under Music News | 1 Comment
Britney Spears took the stage late Tuesday at the House of Blues, making what is believed to be her first public concert appearance in nearly three years.
Starting the five-song set with her debut single “Baby One More Time,” Spears was back in top form. The one-time teen pop queen appeared onstage in boots, a sparkly pink bra top and a short white skirt with her belly ring out.
The drama of the past few months appeared to be behind her. Her only words came as she was leaving. “Thanks everyone for coming,” she told the packed club, where people paid upward of $125 a ticket.
Tuesday’s appearance in which Spears wore a long brown wig was shrouded in mystery. The club marquee made no mention of Spears, announcing only the performance of “The M&Ms.” Word, however, quickly spread on the Internet and fans posted well wishes for her comeback performance.
